Have you ever tasted takakau with golden syrup and butter on top?

A takakau is a maori bread that easy and cheap to make. Takakua is a nice bread, takakau is similar to fry bread and rewana bread and bread.this is cheap bread from mostly milk and flour and a little bit of salt.

Firstly get all the ingredients and put it in the bowl except the water.you add 1 teaspoons of salt per cup of flour you add and you keep on adding water till a sticky consistency.mix it all together until it is sticky and it looks good.

After it has been mixed you put the dough on some flour and make it soft and lees sticky.then put it onto the tray and knead the dough into a shape in your tray.

Lastly you put in the oven 200 Celsius and for 30 minutes or else it is golden brown.if you want you can break of the burnt bits if it is Burt.

The perfect takakau is and no burnt parts fluffy in the inside little bit of flour on the outside. Also you can add some golden syrup on top if you want the flavour more sweet.
